The Flexibiliity of the Future

Nokia just recently had a press release for their new flexible screen, which will be featured on mobile devices soon. The screen can be twisted like a piece of plastic. This twisting motion can actually control actions on the device such as zooming in or out. This new feature when combined with a touch screen in my opinion combines nicely to make an easy to use device that is durable. Devices with this flexible screen will be more durable as I said because they could bend and twist absorbing the force of an impact for example if you dropped it on the floor. Instead of getting cracks all over your screen, you would be able to pick up your device and keep going without worry. These are not the only uses for a flexible screen, as parts continue to get smaller and screens become more and more flexible imagine what could come. There may be flexible screens that can roll out from pocket sized to a tablet or phones that have screens, which can fold out into a tablet. The possibilities are practically endless. As technologies advance you may even end up with fabric, which has a screen embedded within so all you have to do is look at your arm, and talk to a person for say. As more and companies and corporations begin to research these screens innovations will continue to come out fueling the human need for more.
